FAMILY FUN READING NIGHT starts September 27th

The Broken Bow Public Library is once again hosting the FAMILY FUN READING NIGHT program for families with children, preschool through 5th grade. The program is free and open to all reading levels. It is held the last Monday night of each month, September through April, from 7-8:00 p.m. Families enjoy an evening of reading, games and/or crafts. Each month, your family will receive a new book to read together before the next Family Fun Reading Night. A small discussion on that book will open the next month’s reading night and then we’ll have an activity or craft to introduce the book for the following month.

Space is limited so you must sign up to participate. Registration forms are available at the library and must be returned by September 22nd!

We have expanded our download collection with the addition of eBooks through Nebraska OverDrive!  From the comfort of your home, our patrons can browse the collection, check out, and download books and more anytime, anywhere.

These eBooks can be read on a PC or a Mac using free reader software called Adobe Digital Editions.  eBooks can also be transferred to popular e-reading devices like the Sony Reader, the Barnes & Noble nook, and the Kobo eReader.  Through our participation in Nebraska OverDrive, we are starting out with a great selection of best-selling eBook titles, all of which can be read on your computer or compatible portable reading device.  The collection will continue to expand through the ongoing purchase of additional titles.

To check out eBooks and audiobooks through our library's Nebraska OverDrive link, you need a valid library card, computer, and Internet connection.  At the end of the lending period, titles automatically expire and return to the collection.  Users may return eBooks early!

The Broken Bow Public Library partners with OverDrive, Inc., a global leader in digital media services, and the Nebraska Library Commission to offer this download service.
